BREAKING: Gunmen assassinate ex-PDP Chairman

Image
Some unknown gunmen have killed Sylvester Ntefre, a former chapter Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, southernNigeria. POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the incident happened at the slain politician’s hometown in Ekparakwa, OrukAnam Local Government Area (LGA) of Akwa Ibom State. The assailants who came in a black jeep, reportedly invaded Ntefre residence on Sunday morning. They dragged him out and escaped with him to the bush. There, he was shot dead. The motive for their action is not yet clear, but political assasinations are not strange in Nigeria. Likewise, the country has been generally grappling with insecurity in the past few years. Politicians in many Nigerian states use killings as a political weapon. Political analysts and security experts warn that as Nigeria is heading towards another election in 2023, the tendency for a rise in polictial assassination is very high. #Politics Nigeria

2023 Elections have not taken place and they have started killings. They do this continually to put fear in the minds of Christians to hand over power to them to oppress people more. It's time for Christians to rise and oppose these people. Let us move past the era of 'slap in one jaw, then turn the other' they are using our silence to weaken the Christian race in Nigeria daily." From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent taketh it by force.  Let us rise for our fellow Christians and the entire humanity at large.

APC Crisis looms Kano as Buhari steps in for intervention and a jet was flew in to take Ganduje, Shekarau to Abuja for an emergency meeting.

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari last night stepped into the ongoing crisis in the Kano State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) between Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and one of his predecessors, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau,  Daily Trust Saturday  reliably gathered. Kano is unarguably the vote bank of the ruling party and losing it to the opposition might affect its chances at the national level. A source familiar with the development said the presidency dispatched a jet Friday night from Abuja to Kano to convey Ganduje and Shekarau for an emergency meeting towards resolving the crisis. The meeting is said to be a major part of the plan to forestall the planned decamping of Shekarau to the new but fast growing New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) The presidency’s intervention came at a time when more bigwigs of the APC in Kano State have dumped the party and joined the NNPP led by a former governor of the state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Crisis in the Kano APC took a new turn after ...

#2023Aspirations. More drama to unfold as the race for 2023elections is a topnotch.

Those that have started perceiving their failure have taken two steps backwards. Chosing present positions and abandoning their foretold presidential ambitions, while some are confuse of still moving forward or giving up. Sometime, I sit and wonder how one will think of embarking on a task without counting the cost, but on the other hand I remembered that greed pushes people to the point of failure. Am still thinking if the #100, 000,000million nomination forms are refundable. But then it was a means of tracking their cash back and trapping those who wish to reduce our stolen funds just for a race they never saw the starting line.

INEC speaks on Emefiele's ambition. The Fulanis group bought for Jonathan, now Emefiele's form is from Farmers. Hmm

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally broken the silence on the news report making rounds that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele is nursing a presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 general elections. It could be recalled that a group of farmers had on Friday purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for Emefiele ahead of the party’s primaries slated for May 31 and June 1. Emefiele, in  swift response, claimed that he had not decided on the presidential race and would purchase the form by himself if he decided to run for the presidency. But surprisingly, the CBN Governor, however, headed to the Federal High Court, Abuja Division to seek interpretation of the constitution and public service rules on public servants seeking elective positions while in office. INEC while reacting to the move stated that it is watching with keen interest the ...

#2023 Elections

2023 election is not a time to crave for position, ambitions and name.It is a set time to reminisce on the past walls built in our hearts not our stomach. A period of proper reasoning with the head not the stomach to make the country a suitable habitation for ourselves and our generations.Let every leadership be a positive legacy, not a tragic event.
