My Zoo Trip


The first time I was opportuned to travel to my State Capital was during my college days, in boarding  school.


We were to write our junior year Examination, and one of the necessary criteria was the practical aspect of Agriculture as a subject.


We did the plant cultivation method and needed to know about the animal category. 


So our Agricultural Teacher suggested an Excursion to different Zoo's with us and the school approved it.👍

I was so excited because, am going to know my State Capital for the first time. I will get to know other local governments along the way, also visiting the zoo is an adventure on its own.It was dated as one day trip.


We prepared from the dormitory, got our food and snacks and here we go. My habit, whenever am traveling for the first time to a location is, I must read many signpost along the way.🤦‍♀️

It aids my discussion about travel among peers, for information and Educational purposes. So I took out my pen and jotter, wrote down some names of places I saw on some signpost.😁


Gradually we moved from one local government to another till we got the state Capital.Though we stopped on the way twice to stretch our legs and maybe ease ourselves.

My Agric Teacher asked for the route to the first zoo and they directed us.We drove down there and behold the monkeys. 🐒🐒


The tour guy took us around, told us about the zoo and all the animals.He also spoke about the importance of safeguarding and protecting the animals. I can remember some species of monkeys he mentioned. He said Gwenon monkeys are in 5 species, while mangabe is only one.


He took us to the second zoo where we saw the different monkeys, and the mangabe🦍I wrote down everything they taught me there, for my Examination.And a Iearnt there are still in my memory.That's what traveling does. It educates you on lot of things, that's if your are interested in learning.

After 15 years, I can still remember all I learnt illduring my visit to CERCOPAN, that's the name of the Zoo.
